It’s the season for giving, and during this holiday season Cochrane Supply is teaming up with the One Warm Coat foundation to help #sharethewarmth with those in need this winter.
From Monday, November 13th until Friday, December 22nd, each Cochrane Supply location will be collecting new or gently worn winter coats, and any other outer-wear apparel including hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, raincoats, and hoodies. Download Flyer
Sharing Warmth One Coat At A Time
One Warm Coat is a national cloud-based nonprofit organization that provides free coats to children and adults in need. One Warm Coat partners with nonprofit agencies and schools in communities across all 50 states to distribute coats for free to children and adults in need. One Warm Coat believes in each person’s right to shelter from the elements and is committed to sharing warmth, without discrimination, one coat at a time.
Currently, 37 million, or 11% of all Americans are living in poverty and struggling to afford basic necessities.
Shelter from the elements is a basic human need along with nourishing food, drinkable water, and a safe place to sleep. More than 37 million Americans are currently living in poverty and struggling to pay for necessities.
When low-income households spend more than half their income on housing, they have little if any money to spend on other necessities, such as food, childcare, transportation, and healthcare.
One Warm Coat supports individuals, groups, and companies like Cochrane Supply by providing the tools and resources needed to hold a successful coat drive. Coats are distributed in the communities where they are collected, to any person in need, without charge or discrimination.
