Bill Schwebel is Vice President and General Manager, Building Automation Systems and Controls, Global Products. He is responsible for the vision, strategic growth and transformation of the business unit.
Bill leads the profit and loss, people development and investment plans to drive competitive product advantage and industry share for the strategic product line stretching back to the founding of Johnson Controls. This includes the Metasys, PENN, Facility Explorer, Verasys, EasyIO and flagship Johnson Controls brands.
He is also accountable for commercial strategies to drive profitable product growth in global markets and channels, leading product management and engineering to drive innovation and creating world-class products and services.
A proven digital products and data services executive who consistently operates at the forefront of internet, software and intelligent device technologies, Bill has led innovations across mobile, smart cities, supply chains, big data analytics, location-based services and smart buildings while developing new industry business models and operating structures.
Prior to Johnson Controls, Bill held prominent leadership positions at Zebra Technologies, INTTRA, INRIX, AOL, Neustar, Time Warner and Verizon. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in quantitative methods and computer science from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
